Tuesday’s decisive Democratic victories in West Hartford’s municipal elections reaffirm that voters are pleased with the direction of our town under Democratic leadership and believe it should continue.
All ten Democratic candidates running for office in West Hartford – eight incumbents and two first-time candidates – were successful in their races, ensuring that Democrats will retain the majority on Town Council and Board of Education.
“Results of this election illustrate why West Hartford is still a Democratic stronghold in Connecticut,” said West Hartford Democratic Town Committee Chair John Bailey. “We said from the beginning of this election cycle that our slate represented the strongest blend of experience, fresh ideas, and diversity.”
West Hartford Democratic Town Committee Vice-Chair Tiffani McGinnis, said: “I’m thrilled that our candidates’ message of equity, smart growth, and continued investment in quality education resonated with West Hartford voters.”
The West Hartford Democrats express our sincere gratitude to all the town employees and poll workers whose efforts contributed to another safe, fair, and efficient election, and to the voters of West Hartford for participating in the Democratic process.
