West Hartford Democrats Elect Leadership, Appoint Convention Delegates
During a hybrid in-person/virtual meeting on Thursday, March 24, with over 70 members in attendance, the West Hartford Democratic Town Committee elected its leadership for the 2022-2024 term and selected delegates for the upcoming state conventions.
The Officers are:
Chair: John Bailey
Vice-Chair: Tiffani McGinnis
Secretary: Steve Derby
Assistant Secretary: Peter Andrews
Treasurer: Jamie Marinan
Assistant Treasurer: Kerry Boyle
“I am grateful to the DTC membership for re-electing me as Chair.” John Bailey said. “The past two years were challenging with a public health and economic crisis. However, I believe that it made a real difference that our town had strong Democratic leadership on our town council, board of education, in our state legislature, and statewide. I look forward to continuing our good work together.”
“It’s an honor to be re-elected Vice-Chair,” said Tiffani McGinnis. “I am ready to go and excited for this new term. We are heading towards a consequential midterm election and we are committed to electing Democratic candidates locally and nationally.”
Also at the meeting, the Town Committee appointed over 200 delegates to upcoming conventions that will endorse the 2022 Democratic candidates for local, legislative, and statewide office.
