Voting by Mail: What’s the Latest?

Dear West Hartford Neighbors:

As Democrats, we believe that everyone has the right to vote, especially in these difficult times. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all eligible voters in Connecticut can vote by absentee ballot in this year’s election.

The Secretary of the State is mailing Absentee Ballot applications to all registered voters in September. If you wish to vote by mail, you will need to fill out the application and return it in the postage-paid envelope provided to West Hartford Town Clerk, Room 313, 50 South Main Street, West Hartford, CT 06107. You can also put it in one of the convenient, secure drop boxes located outside the main entrance of West Hartford Town Hall.

Since Absentee Ballots will be sent by mail, it is very important to return your application to the Town Clerk’s office as soon as possible.

Absentee Ballots will be mailed out beginning October 2, 2020.

As President Barack Obama said during the Democratic National Convention, “Make a plan right now for how you’re going to get involved and vote. Do it as early as you can and tell your family and friends how they can vote, too.”

Our voice counts. We are stronger together.
